incubus

I decided on this term after much thought, as well as aggravations when dealing with those who did not understand vampire is not what they think.
The main thing all in the communities seem to agree on is the need of pranic energy, if it be via blood or psy.
While I in no way believe vampire is incorrect in describing it, it is how ever a bigger wall to get around if your open of who you are (as I am).
With the word vampire comes to many misconceptions, to many stigmatisms as well as we to much romance in the name.
I personally dislike the romance many associate with the term vampire; in many ways it has become a term of seduction, and of lust
The stigmatisms and misconceptions that have been created for hundreds of years are going to take a long time to break down, and it is easier to explain the term Pranist for 30 minutes, then it is to argue the term vampire for 2 hours.
I personally believe the term Pranist will help break the ice as you will, until such a time as the association between the two terms can be combined with out stigmatism to those who do not understand.
Now this is in no way a forced term, It is simple the term I have chosen for myself, and others can feel free to use.
