I'm a vampire. You may have been taught to fear me, or those like me. Well, this is the glamorous, terrifying, and threatening day in the life of a Vampire...

I woke at 4:38, after going to bed at 7 am, perhaps because it's my vampiric preference, or because I forgot to take my sleep meds... who's to say? With sunlight streaming in the window beside our bed the first thing my eyes see is the one I love lying beside me softly snoring, and soundly, sweetly asleep. I reach an arm under him to hold him while I stroke his hair with the other hand... and smile and whisper, "I love you" and hear something back which resembles "I love you, too" but I cannot be sure. http://www.courtoftheforsaken.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif

I get up, and go to my coffee pot, tripping over the sash on my bath robe... (mutter grouchyly), and begin to brew my coffee. I notice an IM from a friend on my screen and I sit down to send greetings back her way... explaining that I will not be sensible for the next two hours, or until my first infussion of coffee has taken effect... whichever comes first!

*Gods, I need a cigarette...* as I open the balcony door and walk out into the crisp air. *what's that goofy damned squirrel doing?* and I laugh as he looks up at me and shakes his tail as if to say... "I'll give you something to stare at!!" Looking out over the backyard, I think "where's my car?????"... *oh yeah... I put it in the garage because it was snowing* I relax and take my last drag on my cigarette and quickly head inside to the warmth.

Need to put some clothes on... throw on my black slacks, and a shirt that somehow doesn't even match black... ahhh, tomorrow I may wear all black, depends on what I grab first. Who cares? I'm not planning on going out.

*sigh*... (phone ringing) *do I HAVE to answer it??*... I look at the caller ID--daughter calling! I talk to my daughter and we laugh at the antics of my baby grand-daughter who is quite proud of herself for figuring out how to open the top to the wet wipes and proceed to pull out each wipe one at a time... and then look up at her mother and growl an onery... *HA ha!!!*

Well, it's time to get to it and I have things to do today. I pick up the phone and all those who I have to check on, those I need to check the status of business with, and those I need to return calls. DAMN look at the time!!! I have to get some dinner started!!!

As dinner cooks, my Love now awake, we laugh at things we find humorous, grumble about those things that we do not like, muse on what if's, and discuss the upcoming visit from daughter and family, the wishes to visit those we may never meet, and even a little gossip.

Whew, I'm hungry! I'm glad dinner is almost done! I run downstairs to watch dinner as it is close to finished, and call Rikkar to eat a sumptuous and exotic meal of fried rice! http://www.courtoftheforsaken.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/laughing.gif (Emeril, eat your heart out!)

With dinner done, we read some posts, work on our website, and reply to a few posts that catch our eyes and attention. Oh shoot, forgot to call my brother... *dials the phone* Talk to him awhile about things happening to him and trying to give him "big-sisterly-advice", laugh with and AT him, and say goodnight.

Well, here I am, bored, getting tired, and typing to you. I hope you enjoyed living vicariously through this vampire's life, even if for a day. I hope I didn't scare you too bad.

I can't start my day without coffee, and if I don't have a cup god help you all lmao.............believe it or not coffee actually helped me to stop smoking myself...........but yeah a lot of people assume we all live such a glamourous life..hmm I wonder where mine is?:lol2:

bah! my day is pretty boring to most, but I keep my home life simple because regular life is so complicated and so complex. However on the flip side it is the complexities in life that make it so beautiful, it makes one stronger, it makes up the society as a whole , paints a more diverse picture, it adds depth to the whole. If we all were the same or lived simple easy lives then we all would be doomed to be drab, the same, and life is simply not made to be that way. Life is made for people to have different abilities, to have different strengths (computers is nto my forte for example that is why when I read that I was actually correct and had not made a mistake again I did a happy dance:D :stupid: ) it makes us strong as a whole to have people that are different and to have complexities...................

I enjoy this thread.

For my part, my deeply dark and corset filled day as a vampire today consisted of the following.

Being dragged out of bed by my husband at 4.30am this morning as the puppy had had an accident in the study ( and appeared to be suffering from nerves if you get what i mean) and he had to go to work so didnt have time to clear it up.... yeessssssssss of course he didnt.......

get back to bed at 5am, having repeatedly had to tell puppy off for jumping up and trying to bite my lip ring while i cleaned up his misdemeanor.

Fall asleep

The first of my children come into me at 5.30am, its my daughter, who proceeds to sit in bed next to me and sing, badly.

Eldest wakes at 6am and puts on a DVD, good boy .....

Daughter still singing.

Haul my ass out of bed, hair everywhere and bad tempered at 7am.

At 7.01am my daughter has a hissy, throws all her uniform downstairs, shes NOT going to school and she HATES me and thats that.. shes LEAVING.. (shes 6)

Remarkably i remain in control and manage to keep her at arms length while she tries to bite my other hand, and generally snarls in my direction... she gets a little wigged out when i snarl back ;)

downstairs.. puppy all excited.. the 3 cats are congregating in the dining room for food... and i have an hour to sort two kids, one puppy and three cats out... oh and myself, before bus gets here to take eldest to school.

7.20am - down stairs.. manage to single handedly , feed puppy, put him out to 'go' feed children and medicate them and me, well its all supplements but necessary ones.... do my hair, daughter chews the toothbrush and son chases the puppy then walks in the kitchen with this trousers ripped all up one leg where puppy chased back

8am.. i stall the bus driver talking to him, whilst having a hysterical friend on the phone with her problems (again!!!) while eldest goes and changes trousers... gets him on the bus

At some point during this i have managed to get online, post (I think) and chat to Lost.

8.20am drag daughter kicking and screaming out of the house and away from 'scooby-doo and shaggy get a clue'.

Get her to school by 8.50am talk to her teacher explaining the deteriorationin her condition.

and then............ walk home quickly, pick up puppy and go for a walk amoung the trees in the silence....... yessssssssssssssssssss children back at school....

momentary bliss interupted when i get home and discover in the time i took the kids to school. all 3 cats had filled the litter tray and the puppy had broken into the kitchen and had another misdemeanour on my washing, that he had pulled down.

clean that up. then go shopping with my father (not as blissful as it sounds, but dutyful).

Get back and slow down a bit, only washing, cleaning and getting food ready simultaneously... oh and posting online ;)

Pick up kids, go with them and dad to mcdonalds... come home
4-5pm homework... more insistant screaming from daughter that she hates me and is leaving.. son is charging around the house with his free toy from the happy meal and screaming that the puppy wants to take it....
I'm pulling my hair out as i have sensitive hearing and now the puppy is barking and the cats are maowing and the kids are screaming.....

medicate the kids at 7pm and they go to bed......... long bath for me......glass of wine,...... and here i am. with 2 maybe 3 hours of peace before most of it repeats tomorrow....

wow, and ididnt even clean the belfory, whip Egor or bite any fair skinned maidens... im really slipping guys.

its slightly off topic but i have to add here... as geeky as it is. im a huge terry pratchett fan. And I read carpe jugulum the other day..... OMG it was hilarious... new age vampire family (ofcourse it being fiction were classical vampires) that were reeducating themselves on the old misconceptions... the baby vampires had wallpaper in the nursery with as many religious symbols on them as possible so they would ntbe afraid of them.

Anyway, funniest character was Igor, with his well rehersed lisp and affection for the old days, when he would get flogged 4 times a day, and his ability to cultivate door hinges to make the right kind of groan as they opened....

I cant help but think of it everytime i read this thread..... And Laurens reference to the vampire union just set me off.
