A friend of mine came online today and we were talking about some things when vampires came up and he was all like hey become a vampire with me blah blah blah and gave me this link > http://www.vampiretemple.com/ I am not sure if any of you have dealt with these bastards before but they are trying to say that vampirism is a religion and the only way you can become a vampire is to buy there " Vampire Bible " I am so aggrivated right now it isn't funny. *Takes a deep breath* How can I explain to my friend that vampirism is in no way shape or form anything like what they want him to believe without letting him know what I am? I really don't know many good resource sites so I am lost.

It just pisses me off becaue I want him to know the truth but I don't want him to know what I am because he would flip out on me with the " your lying shut the fuck up I am a real vampire I have the vampiric bible BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH!" He did it to one of my friends AND my boyfriend when they tryed to explain things to him. My friend jesse went as far as too telling him he was a vampire for christ sakes. The point is this.. You can't disrespect anyone for their choice of beleifs. You can only tell them what you beleive.

In my own dealings with the VT, I come to understand one thing. They sincerely beleive that what they are teaching is right. So you can't argue with them. At least not if you respect others beliefs, and expect them to do the same about yours.

Personally, what I would do is this.. I would encourage him to check out sites that don't require you to pay to be a member of. Surely, if he has an openmind he will at least go and see what else is out there...

You can remind him also that anyone who is going to make a lifes committment choice to be something should make an educated choice. And educated choice is only made by knowing exactly what all is out there. For example, if you want to be a buddhist, you don't just become one. You have to know what the whole philosophy is based on before you can truely become that. If not, then why would anyone respect your decisions? You surely wouldn't even know enough to tell anyone who asked what it means to be such...

yeh the Temple Of the Vampire was created by the late Anton la vae's daughter a well renouned satanist who created the Church of Satan in America and he was one of the fist to come out with the term psi vampire as he seen it but as it seems he didnt do much writting on the subject.
the TOV dont beleive in sang vampireism and that only psi should be taken and charge you excusiating amounts of money to join and read there bible and are quite arogant on there ways nothing really leaves the temple.

I know there has been a heated discusion on this but the vampire codex from kheparu is a beter deal for your freind there is an online copy about if you ant find it PM me and i will send it throuhg to you since i got the online copy about 3 years ago much has been developed but its still a good read and the caste system well you can take or leave it its up the induvidual

I would recomend not to go with the flow on the TOV they have no public rots of origin as you have to pay through the nose for it and there is no evidence that there way is beter than anyone elses and i wouldnt trust information that comes from a self proclaimed vampire because her father loosly assosiated around the subject

Its well known amongst most vamps to stay away from this...church. While they are entitled to practice what they wish, they also may influence newly awakening folks and give them false hopes. Your friend has a lot to learn. Show him the many sides of vampirism. Make sure he understands that there are many groups of people who claim the name "vampire", and that there are many people looking to make money, and even prey on the weak minded.

As always, education is the key.

wow, I am suprised n one has yet come fourth with this information yet. the TOV is a MLM a Multi Level Marketing Scam. all of its leaders are smart and sucessfull buisnessman. the entire pourpose of the whole things is to becomes a member and then convice others to join buy getting them to buy thems, then so on and so fourth, you make money off of each person you recruit that recruits somone. The only reason it failed is because it holds more appal to the trendgoth community and unfrotunatley most of the trend goths community it POOR!!! lol well at least not well off that is. They were sued by the US governemt back in 1998 for illegal MLM practices and forced to make changes to thier prectices, thats why you never meet any of thier members because they dont have any legal way of being appealing anymore as they are classifed as a religon and religons are considered to be non profit organisations, in otherwords they are only allowed to have practices that bring them enough money to contribute to their charitable causes and pay thier salaries. But since they have NO charitable causes and they are a religon all they can do is sell thier books and related subject mater for thier religon and NOTHING ELSE, so they are a FAILED MLM, the only reason they are still up is because probaby 5 poeple buy a book a month, if each book is lets say 40 bucks and it only cost then 15 a month to keep the server up and 20 a book then they arnt loosing any money. but yeah go looking for member...you wont find any, not real ones, book owners yeah but upper lvel memebrs, not one.
