From an email I received today from Vampire Top 100 Fri, 07 Jul 2006 12:34:33 -0400

The Vampire Top 100 has been a staple of vampress.net, in all it's
various incarnations, serving the online vampire population since 1998.
But it's time I retire the list before I begin renovation on vampress.net
The direction of the site has more or less been slowly changing over
the recent years and anyone who's been following it in the last two years
has witnessed various changes. I intend to overhaul the site entirely
during the remaining summer months and what had originally started in
1998 as a hodgepodge of vampire everything will now be more focused on
what the site was meant to be, a horror entertainment resource
showcasing the best, worst and everything in between of vampire film and
literature. As well, the use of top site lists has changed significantly over
the past couple of years, as has the occurance of new & interesting
vampire websites. New ones are few and far between, making the list
ineffective in the long run.

So with that being said, the Vampire Top 100 will be retired shortly.
I'll give you guys some time to remove your VT100 links. And as a
thank you for joining, being members and sharing this experience with
myself and everyone else involved, I've got a little giveaway for you. I
have 5 Maria Dracula
(http://www.vampress.net/books/browsebook.php?bookid=809) postcards
autographed by the author Denise Roman to give away to the first 5 people
who reply to this e-mail.

Thanks again for being part of the Vampire Top 100 experience, it is
and will remain the dark net's largest, longest running and most
successful vampire top site list. Stay tuned to vampress.net, the original
vampire book & movie database, for the renovation, vampire film & book
news, reviews and giveaways!

Bad dreams dahhling,
