Changes In Forms Of Feeding

Just curious about whether other people than myself seem to go through changes in your type of feeding? Whilst I'm primarily a sang/psi vamp, I find that at certain times my methods of feeding will change. I'm not referring to having to go with substitutes because the perferred method isn't available, but about an actual change in preference.

For example, at times I'll entirely stop wanting to sang or consciously psi feed and will feed sexually instead, or go through several months where astral feeding or elemental works the best for myself. There will be times even when I'll prefer to feed from electricity rather than anything else, even though easier options are at hand.

For those who do experience this- do you feel that there is a reason for this? Is it just about variety.. like if you ate potatoes all the time you will get bored and want something else for a change? Or is it cyclical- a change within your system at different periods, something that you can predict?

Or.. is it just me? lol

No not just you ... as I have always anylized that no matter what ones preferred feeding type is ...all of us can and will feed all ways at one point or another .....and also I have found for me that the older ya get you almost go on autofeed ....as you will continually feed from whichever elements that are available ...as goes the same for Magick as a novice one has to use mental concentration intensly , then you grow older and certain things just come without much thought whatsoever

I consider myself a sanguin vampire. However, on occasion, I can feed other ways. I don't consider them, the way I feed simply because the energy I recieve from them only works a little better than a substitute. Almost like my body doesn't really know how to use it. I don't know if that makes sense to anyone really, but it's just the way it seems to work with me.

Thanks folks. I've always been able to feed in a lot of different ways, I'm just noticing that of late my "tastes" are changing... even though the option for sang is there, it's not feeling as desirable as other things right now, but I also know that the current will change again and I'll be back needing it more than other types.

my tastes havent changed really. i did have a spell where my sanguine hunger was....ill say in abatement, but that resulted in a stunt i pulled that really kinda backfired. but its back to normal now lol.

personally i think its alot like the potato thing....to much of anything gets dull after awhile... gotta spice it up if you can... (and no i dont mean find a spicy little hispanic to feed from...but that might work..) i've noticed i go through spurts of wanting and liking things...a mth on this, a mth on that....ya know....being who i am, i figure it keeps your life from getting redundent.

True true, thanks for the input. Need to do something in terms of feeding, kinda crumbling just now- bad health is using up energy faster than I can replace it.

My changes tend to be due to necessity than anything else... I haven't Sang fed for about two years now.. my primary energy source is Sexual.

Occaisionally there'll be a blade-loving night and my Master will let me have a little of his blood but he's really having a hard time with accepting the vamp thing... he's getting there, I think, but I'm still kinda weak a lot of the time..

Probably now that I'm not a huge slut, my primary feed will turn to elemental again.... maybe.

Yeah.... just the usual stuff is worse right now. Not a bad thing in general terms, have a specialist's appointment at the end of the month that it kinda suits me to be sick for as more likely to get something done... so there's a bright lining to it I guess lol.

Thanks hun... yeah, Indian families are great- kinda like having multiple mums and dads rather than uncles and aunts lol.
