:: Luciferianism ::

By: Rev. Vicutus, Dominus de Ordo Sekhemu

The name derives from the Latin term ‘lucem ferre’, bringer/bearer of light. In the Latin tongue, 'lucif-er, -era, -erum' (adj.) means shiny. Whereas 'Lucif-er, -eri' (m) is morning star, planet Venus, and son of Aurora and Cephalus. As far as older uses of the name prior to the Greek/Romans: The ancient Persian Prince of Darkness was known as Ahriman. The Babylonians had a lightening god (Zu) who fell as a fiery flying serpent. Also there was an Egyptian serpent god, Sata, (father of Lightening and who likewise fell to earth). It seems that the name has gone through some changes to suit the native tongue, but the idea remains the same - an entity that was struck to earth. Over the centuries, a metamorphosis of the idea of Lucifer as being Satan took place. Lucifer and Satan are viewed as separate and distinct beings. To most Luciferians, Satan is a thoughtform constructed by Man.

Luciferianism is a state of being with a focus to illumine our surroundings and enlighten those around us. To Aspire and Become Aspired Beings! It is the innermost circle that surrounds the Universum Power. Christians recognize this as the first Triad surrounding the central core of the Trinity.

The Lucifer principle is based on Divine Wisdom. In Christianity, Lucifer was the highest and most beautiful angel designed by the Creator. This is symbolical to Luciferians because it exemplifies that we too are Creatures of Beauty created of our own design - the Divine within. Luciferianism is a state of being, Dark Perfection. By looking within, one discovers the illuminated aspect of the Divine. The study of the Lucifer principle promotes self-deification and liberation. This consciousness constitutes initiation into Higher Knowledge and Divine Power. The calling of the Luciferian is a spiritual mission upon the physical realm to pass on the Dark Flame of our Father and liberate humanity from the bondage of ignorance and move them from the lower to higher realms of consciousness.

To help preserve humanity, Lucifer bestowed upon the spiritually elect Divine Fire (higher consciousness). Thus, we move humanity from the lower to higher realms of consciousness as Dark Angels on earth. Our calling is a spiritual mission upon the physical realm to pass on the Dark Flame of our Father and liberate humanity from the bondage of ignorance.

As Ruler of the outermost sphere, Lucifer becomes the Guardian of Time and Eternity. He stands at the outer limits of the limitless, girding Himself in space and Being, and all creation. By ‘rebelling’ against the static, Lucifer established cosmic order. This implies death and destruction, known to Christians as the ‘War in Heaven’. By breaking the cosmic order, Lucifer became the creator of the visible world. Thus, Lucifer is the governor of the revealed world, over life and death, over light and darkness. As the breaker of cosmic order and unity, Lucifer institutes death – causing regeneration and change to Become (Xeper). Lucifer is the ‘tester’ and ‘judge’; spiritual resurrection into the Luciferian Consciousness constitutes initiation into Higher Knowledge and Divine Power.

This is a time of Progressive Revelation as we move into a cosmic Nehas-t (Spiritual Resurrection). It is the age of the Luciferian Consciousness, which is the embodiment of Enlightenment (Divine Knowledge learned) and Endarkment (Divine Knowledge already within you). One perceives the physical realm through the eyes of wisdom rather than through the illusions produced by ego. The Divine is expressed through us as we struggle to achieve the state of Dark Perfection. The initiate carries the Divine Spark from mainstream religions and takes his place as one of the Spiritually Elect. The search for Knowledge (Gnosis) motivates the initiate to seek his own Truth rather than the philosophical ideals imprinted by the matrix of society. The initiate journeys beyond the Threshold and is mentally and spiritually challenged by Forces before being allowed to enter the mental spheres of the Lucifer Consciousness.

Through this philosophy the mystic spiritually resurrects into Luciferian Consciousness. Spiritual Resurrection is an incarnation of the Higher Self as our souls are personifications of the blackness of the vast un-manifest regions of existence. Here, one has gained mastership of the higher and lower states of consciousness, and exalt in the union & harmony of spirit & matter, and the renewed life of Lucifer’s faith through you.

The effects of shifting into the Luciferian Consciousness liberate the Mind of the initiate from the Solar Logos. The distance from the World of Man to that of the Luciferian state of mind symbolizes the human potential for a desire to completely explore the outer system within and beyond the vast realm of Darkness. For wrapped in Darkness we find the Light! The Initiate symbolically rises through the planetary spheres and accesses the firmament and the Light. The pull of the Illuminant on man represents the contestation to liberate humanity from the bondage of ignorance, and re-crystallize him with Illuminati Principles. The principle is understood as an expelled spark of the Divine, which has struggled through the darkness of matter where it manifests itself as light upon crystallization.

The Luciferian School of Thought emphasizes the power of mind, the development of will, the creative power of thought and all the problems of mental science, as well as the force of spiritual aspiration, in bringing about harmony in the student's own body and in those who may apply it for healing. Also, that mere intellect without love is sterile and one-sided; ...that mind is not all, but must be used to reach into higher realms and become united with the spiritual consciousness of the Higher Self and receive the Baptism of the Spirit.

Follow the light of the Star within you. Expand from personality into impersonality and take your place as a master of life! Cultivate the powers that give you freedom, which release you from the shackles and chains of the lower selfhood. Be spiritually, and intellectually free; then you can be trusted with all the occult powers within you and within the Universe surrounding you.

Very well put. Too many times Luciferianism is confused with Satanism, to the detriment of those who seek out the black flame within.

You may be interested in the occult section here at Nox if you are a practitioner. Once you build up a post count in the open and beginners section on the occult forum you can apply to the advanced where there is a lot of discussion of luciferian workings.

an interesting post, i found that when it spoke of climbing thru the planetary speres it sounded quite similar to the kabbalistic concept of moving up the tree of life thru the sepiroth in order to ascend into heaven.

Thought this was a good thread since this is something I have studied in depth. We are taught not to question religion and our parents belief. Even in the Bible it says to honer thy father and mother. Mostly what its about is actually raising questions against God. This was how Lucifer was kicked out of Heaven and banished to Hell. I generalize this as more philosophy than actual religion. Satanism is geared toward a darker path and ritual work.

I thought this information may blend in with the existing articles in this thread. It's a mix of history, and basic information. I have cited authors and resources at the bottom of this thread.
Thank you.

Luciferism [1]

Summary

Luciferism is a philosophical and religious movement which started in pre-Christian times. Lucifer is said to be the leader of the angels in heaven and the heavenly messenger from G-d to the people. Generally, the Christian identities of Gabriel, Michael and Satan are combined in the single identity of Lucifer in this faith. Lucifer, with a role as a punisher for humanity, with a task to tempt humans and punish them for disobeying G-d, is often claimed to be the Satan of Christianity in disguise by more conservative and traditional Christians. This has resulted in the misclassification of Luciferism as a cult, or a Satanic religion. [2] Luciferism later became one of the multiple early Christian sects and among its many views were:

* When G-d created Adam, he ordered all the Angels to bow down to Adam, placing Humanity above everything except G-d. Lucifer refused to bow down before anyone other than G-d. To punish Lucifer for his disobedience, G-d cast him down to Earth and never to return to Heaven. To reward Lucifer for his loyalty, Lucifer was given the position of Judge, Jury, and Punisher for all Humanity. [3, 4, 5]

* The true story of the Fall of Mankind according to the followers is very similar to the Book of Job. Lucifer was to tempt Adam and Eve into disobeying G-d, it was a wager between G-d and Lucifer. Humanity failed the the test and was thrown out of the Garden of Eden. Lucifer also played a key role in the Flood and the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. [6, 7, 8]

* The true evil on earth is Cain and his descendants. Cain lives on, and because Humanity was placed by G-d above everything else he is able to exert large amounts of power over things. Many of the ills in history, such as the enslavement of the Hebrews, were caused by Cain. As a twisted parallel to the Tribes of Israel, Cain's descendants are said to have founded twelve Tribes of their own. [9, 10, 11]

The movement and its literature were essentially wiped out by the end of the 5th century CE by heresy hunters from mainline Christianity. Its beliefs are currently experiencing a minor rebirth throughout the world because of the discovery and translation of the Al Fashir library discovered in Libya.

History

Luciferism consisted of many syncretistic belief systems which combined elements taken from Asian, Babylonian, Egyptian, Greek and Syrian pagan religions, from astrology, and from Judaism and Christianity. By the second century CE, many very different Christian-Lucifer sects had formed within the Roman Empire in North Africa and the Middle East. Some Lucifers worked within Jewish Christian and mainline Christian groups, and greatly influenced their beliefs from within. Others formed separate communities. It is generally believed that the Al Fashir library was a group of Christian-Luficers.

As mainline Christianity grew in strength and organization, Lucifer sects came under increasing pressure and persecution. They almost disappeared by the 6th century. The only group to have survived into modern times is the Gabrielite sect of Libya and Chad. This group has about 10,000 members (one source says 100), and can trace their history continuously back to the original Lucifer movement. [12]

Many new emerging religions in the West have adopted ancient Lucifer beliefs and practices. The belief by some Muslim sects that Satan was thrown out of heaven by not bowing to Adam may have been borrowed from Luciferism.

Sources of Ancient Lucifer Information
Until after WWII, only a few pieces of Lucifer literature were known about. Most Lucifers used the Hebrew Scriptures, and also included the Testimony of Adam, the Hymn of the Executioner, and the Gospel of James. Much of the knowledge about this movement also comes from the attacks on Luciferism by early Christian writers. These included Irenaeus (130? - 200? CE), Clement of Alexandria (145? - 213?), Tertullian (160? - 225?) and Hippolytus (170? - 236). [13] Unfortunately, these 'witch hunters' were not particularly accurate or objective in their analysis of Luciferism.

In 1936, an Italian Construction Crew stumbled onto a small library of Luciferist literature when digging a new well in the Al Fashir oasis in Libya. This library was quickly sent back to Italy, where it was soon forgotten during World War Two. It was not until the surrender of Italy that the library was finally known about to the rest of the world. A team of French and Italian archaeologists managed to translate the writing, and found over 43 different works of Luciferism. [14] It included the Gospel of Judas, a slightly different version of Job, the Book of the Law, many Prayer Books, Aristotle's Ethics, several versions of the Luciferist Genesis, the Book of Cain (also called A History of the Enemy) and several Revelation like Books, predicting the fall of Rome and the rebirth of the Theocracy.

Of these, the Gospel of Judas is considered the most important. The Gospel starts off with a genealogy of Jesus different from the other Gospels, but still presents a line from King David. It continues, focusing on previously unknown parts of Jesus's life. It describes a trip to Persia, and perhaps beyond, where he is said to have first battled with Cain. According to the Gospel of Judas, Jesus and his followers had joined together in a plot to assassinate Pontius Pilate. Peter betrayed Jesus and turned him into the Romans, who then attempted to crucify him. Judas took the place of Jesus instead, allowing Jesus to live on and continue to preach to the Lucifers. [15, 16, 17]
